Set aside the busyness of the world and wander through Virginia’s mountains or ride the gentle currents of waters enclosed by the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Nature promises much if we open our arms to embrace it. Inspiration could come in the form of a butterfly, a great blue heron, an ageless oak, or even a turkey vulture. Ours is not a traditional, walled Cloister Walk, but one enclosed by white pines, sugar maples, and, farther to the east, acres of marsh spread across the brackish water of Currituck Sound. #CloisterWalk#PriscillaMelchior#naturepoems#poetry#nature
