Anastasia Clark has a natural knack for drawing her readers into her poems, and we relish in her metaphors and imagery.  She is a gifted and generous poet and sharer-of-poetry, delighting in spreading her infectious love for prose. The Exit Train is playful and imaginative and another sterling example of her craft with words. She has accomplished her mission: I feel honored to be among the countless students and adults whom she has inspired to find friendship in poetry.

–Laura Costello, Director, Palm Beach County Middle School Poetry Competition

“As an English teacher, I have read hundreds of poems for enjoyment as well as teaching tools.  I look forward to reading Anastasia’s poems as both. But always as my quiet time of total enjoyment. The themes that she chooses to write about are themes that every reader can easily identify. Her imagery and tone make it a relaxing and insightful experience that allows her readers to call back moments of their childhoods as well as appreciate present time. The entire human experience is realized and valued through her words that speak to our souls. Thank you, Anastasia for another treasured experience of poetry.”

–Patricia Hammond, M.Ed., NBCT, English Teacher, Pompano Beach High School

“In her new poetry collection, Anastasia writes moving poems tackling issues ranging from nature, love, loss, alienation to memories and time. She employs pictorial images and everyday details to capture the flow of life in her surroundings. Anastasia’s language is precise and crisp. The poems revolve around dramatizing and rejuvenating the process of attention to the ordinary. There is a melancholic tune in most of her poems which make them evocative and emotionally charged. Anastasia’s calm and lyrical poems take the readers on a pleasant and exciting journey.”

Anastasia’s writing is brilliant, creative, and just out of this world! Her poems are so emotional and real that you get submerged into this fantasy state of mind. I can picture it, see them, feel it, and I can imagine it come to life. This book is brilliant. If you have not picked up a copy you need to! My absolute favorite poem: “a couple on a train” should be given an award by itself. If you have not picked up a copy you need to! It will not disappoint.
