Hysterian is a book of poems about midlife and beyond. It’s about the beauty and trials of aging imagined as a slow, sometimes shadowy, and mostly outdated carnival. It’s about losing parents, betrayals of the body, and the changing nature of romantic love as we age. It’s about new realizations, letting go of old resentments, and reasons to wonder at and celebrate the wisdom season of our lives. #poetry #aging #thressholds #mortality
