Jack Imagines a Different Map is a collection of poems that explores the realities of aging and mortality. Through a series of persona poems, Jack looks back on his life and wonders about what might have been, as he begins to face the reality not only of where he currently is in life—which isn’t where he had hoped—but also of what lies in front of him. Jack wishes he had a road map to help him manage the coming years, but he must make the journey on his own, so he ponders work, friendship, and death to try to make sense of his life.
