LESSER KNOWN SAINTS by Maureen Hossbacher

This lovely collection of lilting words is for those of us who don’t get it:  poetry, that is.  It’s irreverentially reverent, the words as ripe as a plump strawberry, and inside there is gentle laughter awaiting release.  Take this little book, ingest it slowly — it goes down easily — and sit back and smile.  That’s simple, right?

–Malachy McCourt, author of Death Need Not Be Fatal

Maureen Hossbacher‘s Irish roots give her poems a warmth and humor as she celebrates these “lesser known saints” and speaks to the issues of women today.
–Mary Pat Kelly, author of Of Irish Blood

Maureen Hossbacher
‘s poems move from the city to the beach, from America to Ireland, with mastery and ease. Her sharp eye and pained heart capture the world in all its political madness and sensual glory. With Lesser Known Saints, Hossbacher shares “heritage obstinate as summer dusk.”
–Honor Molloy , author of  Smarty Girl – Dublin Savage
