Author Tracy Ahrens earned First Place for Creative Verse – Single Poem in the 2019 Illinois Woman’s Press Association Mate E. Palmer Professional Communications contest with her poem “secrets in the soil.” The poem went on to the National Federation of Press Women 2019 National Communications Contest and earned Third Place for Creative Verse – Single Poem.

One of Tracy’s poems appears in the spring 2019 issue of Eureka Literary Magazine (ELM).

 

Her poem “secrets in the soil” is also in the December 2018 issue of Another Chicago Magazine and remains visible online.

 

Tracy is a regular contributor of poetry and photography to Fine Lines Creative Writing Journal. One of her photographs is on the cover of the Summer 2019 issue.
