Sarah Van Arsdale is the author of the novels Toward Amnesia, (Riverhead, 1995),  Blue (University of Tennessee Press), winner of the 2002 Peter Taylor Prize for the Novel, and Grand Isle, (2012, SUNY Press). Her most recent book of fiction, In Case of Emergency, Break Glass, a novella collection, came out in 2016 with Queen’s Ferry Press. Her poetry, fiction, non-fiction and book reviews have appeared in magazines including The Florida Review, GuernicaBayou, The AWP Writers’ Chronicle, Clockhouse, and The New Guard. She is the creator of several short animated films. She is on the affiliate faculty in fiction writing in the Antioch/LA Low-residency MFA program.
