Waiting for Here by Ellen Rachlin (NWVS, #26)

In Ellen’s Rachlin‘s poems imagery sets a mood that makes the reader want to reach out and touch her world. This world is inhabited by pale oranges, packets of seeds, tin-gray skies, red stones, falcons and dreams that will not stay. Ellen is in complete control of her vision, a vision that includes no sentimentality, just a search to find the small things that make life complete. Her poems are handled, like a tiny child, with care, affection and a genuine depth of emotion.
