“You are entering upon a great poet’s crafted articulation of suffering.  But you must no more shy from it than she has. You will be strengthened by your assumption of her physical mantle.  You will share in beauty wrung from heroic struggle. You may find yourself turning your own painful experiences into poems.”

–Gerald Locklin, Author of The Life Force Poems, and other works
