Rosalie Sanara Petrouske received her M.A. in English and Writing from Northern Michigan University. She has had poetry and essays published in many literary journals and anthologies including Passages North, The Seattle Review, Red Rock Review, and Third Wednesday. In 2008 and 2014, she served as Artist-in-Residence in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and won an Honorable Mention in the Abbie M. Copps Poetry Award. Her poem “New Year’s Day” was selected for broadside publication by the Michigan Poet and she recently had work included in And Here, 100 Years of Upper Peninsula Writing released from Michigan State University Press. Often she can be found hiking through the woods in all seasons. She is currently at work on her first novel.
