Tracing Shadows: Portrait Poems of People by Italia Langmar

$19.99

Itala’s portrait poems are an artist’s tracings of imagined lives. From hairdresser to lawyer, bricklayer to polo player, with teachers and artists and feminists, too, each bespoke person is an incantation, an amulet, a paean to beauty and love.
–Lise McKean, social anthropologist and author of Divine Enterprise (University of Chicago Press).

Itala Langmar, inspirational poet and artist, deftly captures the essence of her subjects. Her hues and tints are subtle, and her use of color reflects her Italian heritage. She is a naturalist in the widest and most generous sense of the word. I am pleased and proud to have published her works.

–Glen Phillips, publisher of Front Porch Review
