When by Elaine Nadal

Elaine’s poems have a cadence that elicits a mental dance, full of vibrant melodies, sharp notes, and riffs that resonate in your ears. There’s a truth in the verses that paints clear pictures for the reader; you’re left with emotions laid at your feet, asking to be understood, consumed. It’s an experience I’m privileged to have had!

–Raquel I. Penzo, La Pluma y La Tinta

Hope and hurt are marvelously interwoven in a colorful quilt. “Pink, lavender and celestial blue” of the rainbow contrast with stones, dust and ghosts. These lyrics celebrate perseverance, the power of creative imagination, and the will to triumph over painful histories.

–Dr. Frank Crowley, co-host of Poetry of Immigrants
